Oxidation is the only decision that separates them

Decaffeination reverses that advantage. It is a wet process followed by re-drying, it removes aromatics alongside the caffeine, and black tea has the more robust flavour compounds to lose, so it survives the treatment noticeably better than the delicate sweetness and marine notes on the green side.
